Kay: I am 68 years old and still working as an office manager of a medical clinic. My LDL cholesterol is too high, overweight and stressed out. They tell me to loose weight and exercise. I need help. I know nothing about yoga, but thought if I could relieve stress and exercise some, maybe I will feel better and loose weight. Please advise.
Susan: You’re on the right track! Yoga can absolutely make a positive change in your stress level and weight. All you have to do is DO IT!
Along with watching your diet and eating lots more fruits and vegetables, a consistent yoga practice will change your body, mind and spirit…all for the better. You can begin right where you are at your level of ability. Just be gentle with yourself and modify the poses so that they’re in your comfort zone.
